Event Overview

Malaysia is taking an important step by developing its first National Action Plan (NAP) on Women, Peace, and Security (WPS). This plan supports the country’s commitment to UN Security Council Resolution 1325 and aims to include women in peacebuilding, national security, and disaster response. The conference brings together the government, civil society, and international partners to start building this plan together.

The SEAWLC is a high-level international conference aligned with the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Agenda, marking nearly 25 years since UNSCR 1325. It aims to bring together global leaders, peace practitioners, and civil society to advance women’s roles in peacebuilding and security.
